life's journey

When faced with raising three young boys on my own in 1979, I discovered installing wallpaper was fun and I could work in some much-needed extra money. What I did not know was how passionate I would become about the wall covering Industry. Wallpaper has taken me to places I never dreamed I would be able to go.

Some of the highlights of my career are being able to work with Jim Yates famous historic wall covering / wallpaper installer with WRN. Jim taught me a lot. Thanks, Jim. I’ve been able to work with many other installers all over the country by using our Craftsman Reach Program.  One being the WWW.NGPP.ORG.  It amazes me how being able to pick up a small little trick or tip that can change your workflow.  I love it.

I have worked on a 1890’s log cabin deep in the mountains of Crystal Springs, Colorado.  We installed historic wallcovering over muslin, that was installed over log wood slats. This was my first winning walls with wallcovering award in the industry. Then I had a really neat Charity Project using www.4walls.com murals with award-winning results. Life is good!

I have traveled all over the country to teach, remove, and install both commercial and residential wallpapers. I also served on Imperial Home Decorating focus group.  We are always thrilled to take the classes and seminars featuring the new and difficult wallcovering.

Then, I discovered the www.weathered-stone.com product.  I’ve been blessed to have their product in several award-winning Parade of Homes here around Nashville. Another fascinating deal was being asked to assist a fellow paperhanger installing hand-crafted torn paper and weathered-stone in the HGTV Dream Home giveaway.  Thanks, Cyndi. The most recent job was being flown to New York to paper the cabins aboard the Crystal Symphony Cruise Ship, thanks to Scottish Decorators. Thank Goodness my right-hand man, Ron Casimier, went with us.  What a job! God is Good all the time.

Let us dress up your walls! My best to all of you in your decorating projects.
